Last weekend, on 23. May, Rubens Barrichello celebrated his 37th birthday in Monaco. There was a little celebration in the flat of Galvao Bueno, Brazilian TV personality, which was attended by fellow Brazilian drivers, Felipe Massa and Luciano Burti. Both took their pregnant wives with them, Felipe also his father. Here are a couple of pics:

This week I have written that accoring to rumours from Brazil Felipe Massa’s wife is pregnant. Today it got confirmed by the Brazilian commentators. They added that last year, when asked, Felipe’s wish for 2009 was to become a daddy. It seems it will come true for him. They expect the baby for November. Congratulations once again!
Edited to add: Felipe also confirmed the news in Barcelona today and he said they already know it’s a boy. They are not sure about the name yet: he will either be named after Felipe’s father (Luiz Antonio) or Felipe.
Rumour from Brazil has it that Felipe Massa and his wife Rafaela are expecting their first baby. According to the paper “Extra” the couple plan to announce the news when Rafaela will be in the third month of her pregnancy. The baby is due to arrive in November.
Last year Felipe, when asked in an interview what was his wish for 2009, surprisingly didn’t say the Formula One title, but to become a dad. However he also added that his wife wasn’t ready for it yet and he will need to do a little convincing first. It seem he succeeded in that.
Congrats to the couple!

Felipe married Rafaela Bassi on the 30th of November, 2007. She is two years older than him. Her family is the owner of a big Brazilian fashion company called “Guarana Brasil”. They met at a disco while Rafaela was on a holiday. Their wedding was a big, high-profile event in Brazil.
She didn’t like F1 before she met Felipe and she still doesn’t like it – according to her the paddock is a “cold and unfriendly place”. But she loves her husband so she is usually there with him at the races and even at tests, like in Bahrain this winter.
There is a little disagreement on the subject of children between Felipe and Rafaela. At the end of last year Felipe told in an interview that his greatest wish for 2009 would not be the Formula One title, but to become a daddy. But he also added that Rafaela doesn’t want it yet, so they are waiting. He said: “I know it would be unfair to Rafaela if I left her home with the baby while I’m traveling around the World.”
