Who does the Iceman smile at?
Kimi Räikkönen married Jenni Dahlman on the 31st of July, 2004. Jenni is two years younger than Kimi. She was a photomodell and in 2000 she was Miss Skandinavia. She and Kimi also met at a beauty contest where Jenni was a competitor and Kimi was invited as a member of the jury. It was love at first sight.
It’s well known that Kimi doesn’t like the media hype, doesn’t like to be at the centre of attention. Well, Jenni is similar. You rarely can see her at races in the paddock (according to some fans too rarely and she should support Kimi more). However she was there at the last test of Ferrari this winter about two weeks ago.
Kimi’s private life is as mysterious as Kimi himself. I, for one, don’t know what to believe. Sometimes there are the wildest of rumours about them, but none of these stories have ever been proven. It’s often reported that their marriage is in a crisis but then they appear together in public and they look like a totally normal and happy couple.
However it’s true that there have already been pretty wild pictures about Kimi. In 2006 the tabloids published pics in which he was totally drunk and dancing erotic looking dances with girls (who were not Jenni) in a bar, in another pic he was holding girl (who wasn’t Jenni either) at Ferrari’s pre-season ski-event in 2008. There were also claims from various girls that they had relationships with Kimi, however Kimi always sued those who claimed this.
All I can say: let’s hope they are really faithful to each other and happy.
Jenni doesn’t really like F1. On the rare occasion she attends a race she looks more bored than interested. Her hobby is show jumping and she is pretty good at it. But Kimi is allergic to horses, so it must be a bit difficult for them: Kimi doesn’t like to attend Jenni’s competitions and Jenni doesn’t like to go to F1 races.
Kimi said he doesn’t want kids as long as he is in F1, so if everything goes as planned Jenni and Kimi won’t be parents until at least 2011.
